We are committed to advancing sustainable and responsible buying practices with our vendors.
Our suppliers are selected and evaluated beyond the basis of economic factors. We also look closely at environmental protection, compliance with human rights, labor and social standards as well as anti-discrimination and anti-corruption policies. Alphonsa Cashew Industries has committed to the principles of Sustainable and Responsible Cashew Value Chain and wants to partner with vendors to further develop the sustainability performance in the cashew supply chain.
We expect our suppliers to fully comply with applicable laws and to adhere to internationally recognized environmental, social and corporate governance standards (ESG standards). We also expect our suppliers to use their best efforts to

We expect our vendors to provide updates around their environmental initiatives, certifications, goals and impact. By engaging our vendors on the benefits of budding a sustainable and responsible cashew value chain, we are increasing the number of participants that monitor, measure and report the impact on Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
Highlights
As part of Alphonsa’s commitment to resource conservation, we worked with our paper and packaging suppliers to address the impact of our use of paper for packaging. Because virgin fibre remains necessary to meet our structural and design requirements, responsible sourcing of this fibre is an essential piece of our environmental strategy for paper and packaging. We updated our specification that requires all wood fibres used in packaging be derived entirely from sustainable sources certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). As a result 100% percent of the paper used in Alphonsa’s paper packaging now comes from FSC Chain-of-Custody Certified Suppliers.

Our Vendor Diversity Program gives us a platform to engage with small and diverse enterprises in India. Our Vendor Diversity Program aims to help break down barriers to market access for small and diverse enterprises and unlock commercial opportunities with Alphonsa Cashew Industries.
