In a landmark achievement that underscores its continued pursuit of food safety excellence, Alphonsa Cashew Industries has been honoured with the award for Significant Achievement in Food Safety at the 16th CII Food Safety Awards 2026. This prestigious recognition, awarded in the Processed Fruits and Vegetables category, is a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards of food safety and quality.
The award ceremony was held in New Delhi on 28 April 2026, where the award was received on behalf of Alphonsa Cashew Industries by Ms. Reena, Head of Exports, and Ms. Maya, Head of Food Safety and Compliance.
The CII Food Safety Awards follow a five-tier recognition framework, with Significant Achievement in Food Safety being the second-highest distinction, placing Alphonsa Cashew Industries among a select group of companies recognised at this level from across India.
The awards, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, are among the most respected industry recognitions for food safety standards in India, evaluating companies across rigorous criteria including food safety management systems, process controls, hygiene practices, and commitment to continuous improvement, drawing participation from food businesses across all states and sectors.
This latest accolade marks a significant step forward for Alphonsa Cashew Industries. In 2023, the company received a Commendation Certificate for Strong Commitment to Sector Specific Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at the 14th CII Food Safety Awards in the Nuts and Seeds category. The progression from a GMP commitment recognition to an award for Significant Achievement in Food Safety within just two award cycles reflects the company’s focused and measurable advancement in elevating its safety standards across all aspects of its operations.
